The Department of Trade and Industry Region 3 will be conducting more trade fairs to support MSMEs in Central Luzon.

According to DTI-3 officer-in-charge director Leonila Baluyut, their office and seven provincial offices will hold at least 19 trade fairs, including the 23rd run of the Likha ng Central Luzon Trade Fair. These events are meant to generate more sales and provide income and employment for MSMEs. This opportunity will also allow businesses to showcase their products and sustain their operations.

Other events four national and international trade fairs which include the National Trade Fair Digital Mall, the Manila FAME, the Virtual National Trade Fair, and the 13th run of the International Food Exhibition (IFEX)–NXTFOODASIA.

In addition, these events are organized by the DTI’s Bureau of Domestic Trade and Promotion (BDTP) and the Center for International Trade Expositions and Missions, in cooperation with the DTI Regional Operations Group.
According to Baluyut, in 2020, the DTI-3 assisted 1,364 Central Luzon MSMEs participate in 98 local, national and international trade fairs that generated more than 70 million total sales.

The DTI is also helping MSMEs transition to e-commerce by providing more training and linking them to other online selling platforms. The MSMEs are encouraged to make the most of technology to advertise and sell their products while also better understanding the mechanics and convenience of online payment systems.
